Museum of Fine Arts housing rich collections of paintings, sculptures and decorative arts. Descendant of a noble family since the 7th century, Charles de Bruyères bequeathed his house and his collections. The museum is an excellent introduction to the discovery of the city whose history is more than a thousand years old: archaeology, sculptures, objects, paintings of the canonesses, abbesses, dukes of Lorraine. The museum also exhibits a Carolingian intaglio in agate unique in the world, the largest collection of Art Nouveau in the Vosges (glassware, earthenware, furniture, sculptures) including a large number of works by Émile Gallé, collection of old earthenware and 'Émile Gallé, numerous 17th century Dutch paintings, 17th and 18th century Italian, 19th century French, painted hangings from 1750 of the first town hall, a reconstruction of a kitchen and a bedroom from the Hautes -Vosges...
