A party to celebrate traditions in Val-d'Ajol
The unmissable Andouille Fair of Val-d’Ajol returns from Saturday February 17 to Monday February 19, 2024!
Fixed on the 3rd Monday of February by an order from Louis Philippe in 1831, this fair owes its name to a prefectural decree dating from 1966. At the time, it was an important livestock fair and all the farmers in the sector filled their bags with the last andouille sausages smoked over the hearth. If the livestock have disappeared, the star pork of the month of February has remained.
On the program of the festivities: the traditional gourmet market, the competition for the best pie, a costume parade, the book fair and the literary prize, without forgetting the famous chapter of the brotherhood of Taste-Andouilles and Gandoyaux du Val-d'Ajol and its inductions.

A program of festivities
Saturday February 17 - Brotherhood Day
Gourmet market from 10 a.m. to 18 p.m., under a marquee. Tasting and sale of gastronomic and wine specialties, local products and Remarkable Sites of Taste.
Flea market from 8 a.m. to 17 p.m., on the church square and neighboring streets.
Chapter of brotherhoods at 11 a.m.. Parade and inductions on the Place aux Andouilles (in front of the village hall) in the presence of the wine and gastronomic brotherhoods.
Sunday February 18 - Val-d'Ajol parade
Gourmet market from 10 a.m. to 18 p.m., under a marquee.
Regional book fair from 10 a.m. to 17 p.m. at City Hall.
Car show.
Competition for the best andouille pie in Val-d’Ajol in the village hall.
Costume parade at 14:30 p.m. animated by associations: floats, music, folklore (free theme).
Monday February 19 - The Andouille Fair
Gourmet market from 10 a.m. to 18 p.m., under a marquee.
Fairground market in the village.
58th chapter of the Docte, Insigne et Gourmande Confrérie des Taste-Andouilles et Gandoyaux du Val-d’Ajol.
Parade and inductions at 10:45 a.m. on Place aux Andouilles (in front of the Salle des Fêtes).

Each year, new inductees have the privilege of joining the Confrérie des Taste-Andouilles et Gandoyaux du Val-d'Ajol. Highlight of this event: the dependence of andouilles on the square of the same name!
